History in Idaho

2010 – Presented by Eibach Springs
Idaho set new standards in American rally sport. Not only did we create one of the longest stage rallies in North America, no we topped it off with a Side by Side Super Special Stage in Boise. 28 Teams took on the challenge to compete on 140 stage miles through the Mountains of Elmore and Boise County. Wolfgang Hoeck & Pierce O’Hanlon set the fastest time in their Mitsubishi and took the podium.

The year to remember. A two wheel drive car places first in a National Championship Race ahead of several 4 wheel drive cars. 38 Rally Car Teams and 4 Rally Bike Teams came out for this event. The two day event had everything from rocky test stages to slow and technical, fast and tricky special stages. Day 2 turned out to be a well visited spectator day starting out with a downtown parc expose in Mountain Home and a big jump set up on the stage.

In 2008 the rally moved to Elmore County. The surface changed from paved to decomposed granite. The new roads have world class quality. All competitors were very excited to run the stages. 18 teams from several different states and one team from Canada came out to compete.

The Idaho Rally made its first appearance in June 2007. For the first time ever a performance stage rally was organized in Idaho. Competitors as far as California, Washington, Michigan and Colorado came to run on the roads in and around Bruneau/Grand View. The paved roads were fast and tricky. Eleven teams went on to compete for the Rally Crown of Owyhee County.
